Government Howe C.D. (Clarence Decatur) Born in Massachusetts in 1886, with education from MIT, C.D. Howe was likely one of the key people responsible for Avro Canada.
Government Pearkes George Rundolph Born 26 February 1888 in Watford, Hertfordshire, England. GENERAL Pearkes was the Minister of Defence at the time the Arrow was cancelled - General Pearkes always believed that he had made the right choice in cancelling the project. In October 1960, Pearkes was sworn in as the Lt.-Governor of BC. He died of a stroke in Victoria, BC on 30 May 1984.
